Chronic sleep deprivation raises the risk of weight gain. Two hormones leptin helps the brain sense when you’re full and ghrelin helps trigger hunger, the less sleep you get the lower your leptin levels and higer ghrelin
Think before you drink
Not only is alcohol toxic to the liver but it strips the body of its precious antioxidants, vitamins & minerals and destroys nutrients, it also dehydrates the body. Alcohol is packed with empty calories, 1 gram of Alcohol is 7 calories. This will contribute to unnecessary weight gain.
No diet or healthy eating plan alone will do the trick, you have to have your goals written down, a positive mindset to achieve them and to “Be active!” exercise. Even at first it’s only 30 min a day.
Start with that now (in winter) and increase it a little every week, then in three months its warmer and time to kick into gear for summer.
Energy input must be lower than energy output!
